NetConsole/Timesheet FAQ's - Infrastructure
- Q. What kind of system requirement do I need in order to run NetConsole/Timesheet
on our own web server?
A.
If you want to buy NetConsole/Timesheet and install it on your own web server,
you will need the followings:
- Operating System: Windows NT, Windows 2000 and above
- Macromedia's Cold Fusion Server 4.5 and above (CF MX is recommended)
- Database Server: SQL Server 7.0, SQL 2000 and above.
Database server can be on the same machine as web server,
or it can be on a different machine on the same network
(recommended for a larger Intranet site).
- Processor: Pentium III or IV and above is recommended
- Disk Space: Minimum 500 MB free hard disk space for CF Server and Product codes
- Memory: 512 MB or higher is recommended (need higher memory with SQL Server on the same machine)
- Web Server: MS IIS Server 4.0 and above
- Other: A CD-ROM Drive
- Q. We are interested in subscribing to use your NetConsole/Timesheet,
what kind of hardware/software requirement do we need?
A.
For Subscription Plan users, you only need:
- Internet Access
- Internet Explorer Browser 6.0 and above or Netscape/Navigator Browser 6.0 and above
- Q. What has been the average "up time" required to get NetConsole up and
running for your customers? Do you recommend a particular sequence of events?
A. It's a quick installation process and all of the steps are stated in
the installation guide in detail.
Usually, it only takes you less than 20 minutes
to install and set up the application. We will also help you in setting up NetConsole/Timesheet
application if any problems arise. Just have your technical contact speak to our
technical support.
- Q. What are your days and hours of support?
A. Our business hours are M-F, 9:00am-5:00pm EST.
- Q. Can you provide us with the system requirements to get up and running on NetConsole?
For example, what do we need to provide you with and what do you provide us?
A. Please refer to the "System Requirement"
section under "Purchase" link.
- Q. Do you offer close maintenance support and/or do you encourage self-maintenance?
A. Any purchase of NetConsole/Timesheet will come with a one year premium technical
support plan, including telephone and email support on all the product related issues. After
the first year, you may continue to subscribe to our premium technical support for 20% of
the product price.
- Q. What are the server and database maintenance costs ?
A. If you purchase and host the application by yourself, you will be responsible for all
the database backup and server maintenance. There is no direct maintenance cost related to
application itself. For Subscription Plan, you are maintenance-free.
